Cookie policy

This policy explains which cookies the Derbyly portal (derbyly.com, hereinafter — the «Portal») uses, why they are needed, how long your consent is stored and how to manage them.

Portal operator

Derbyly is a sports information project published in Russian and English. The Portal operator — the owner of the derbyly.com domain, who runs the Portal and organises data processing on it — is the Portal administration. The Portal is built and maintained by Sorrroka Studio.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. They let the site recognise the browser on your next visit, remember your chosen settings and collect anonymous visit statistics.

Which cookies the Portal uses

Strictly necessary. They keep the Portal running: interface language, saving your cookie consent, and protecting forms from automated submissions. Without them the Portal does not work properly, so they cannot be switched off.
Analytical. Anonymous statistics: number of visits, pages viewed, referral sources. They show which materials are in demand and help us improve the Portal. They are set only after you press «Accept» in the consent banner.

For analytics the Portal uses Yandex.Metrika (counter no. 113589118). Yandex.Metrika is a third-party service: the data it collects is processed on Yandex’s side under Yandex’s own terms. No other third-party counters (Google Analytics, VK or Meta advertising pixels and the like) are currently used on the Portal; if any are added, the cookie list and this policy will be updated.

The Portal does not use cookies to show third-party advertising and does not pass them on for profiling outside the Portal.

Cookie consent

On your first visit the Portal shows a consent banner. The «Accept» button allows strictly necessary and analytical cookies. The «Only necessary» button keeps strictly necessary cookies only — analytical cookies are not set in that case. Your choice is stored in the browser for 365 days, so the banner does not appear on following visits; once the period expires, you are asked again.

You can withdraw your consent at any time: clear the site data (cookies and the browser’s local storage) in your browser settings and the banner will appear again, so you can choose anew. Refusing or withdrawing consent does not prevent you from using the Portal.

Managing cookies in your browser

Every browser lets you view stored cookies, delete them and block sites from storing new ones — under «Privacy» or «Site data» settings. If cookies are fully blocked, some Portal features (for example, remembering the language) may work incorrectly.

Legal basis and jurisdiction

The Portal operates under the law of the Russian Federation. Personal data is processed under Federal Law No. 152-FZ «On Personal Data»: consent to analytical cookies is given freely and voluntarily and may be withdrawn at any time, as described above.
